I deliver better business communications

I believe that effective business communication is crucial in driving change and providing excellent customer service. I also believe in telling it straight; clients take me on to improve things and deliver high quality work, not to tell them what I think they want to hear.

Although I have zero full time staff (and low overheads) I can draw on a select group of specialist associates for larger projects.

Background

Before going it alone in 2004 I had several in-house roles, including head of communications for the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority and head of corporate communications for the University of Portsmouth; I’ve also worked in the press bureau at New Scotland Yard, been a journalist and taught English in Italy.

My experience includes cause-related campaigns and issues, such as alcohol, mental health, drugs, crime, race relations, housing and education. On the other hand, I’ve also produced work for companies in telecommunications, steel production, IT, consumer electronics, ship broking, advertising, HR and recruitment.
